When waiting for the battle to occur, residents will be able to play outdoor games such as cornhole and canjam. Using our galaxy photobooth, residents can take silly pictures when they are covered in shaving cream. You never know what special guests from UF you might see there!

New Student Convocation

8:00 – 11:00 AM | Stephen C. O’Connell Center

New Student Convocation is the University of Florida’s official welcome for all new first-year students. As one of the only times the incoming class will convene, this event celebrates the class of 2023’s entry into higher education and inducts them into a community of learners. New Student Convocation articulates to our newest Gators the institution’s mission and the expectations to which they will be held during their collegiate career. Our first-year students will not only realize their identity as a class but be reminded of the privilege they have to change the world for the better as a member of the Gator Nation. As part of this year’s event, our new students will receive their official class pin to show the world that they are officially Gators.
